Has Anyone Seen Peanut?!!

The other day on my way out of work I listened to two odd phone messages. The first was some guy looking for his sister (or calling from his sister's) and, while he seemed somewhat desperate, was modestly polite about it. A few hours later he called back, though the five seconds between phone messages was not enough time to empathize with the trouble this guy was having with getting through. His second message was a little more agressive, and explative filled, making my desire to call him back drop faster than the DOW.

A callback was not required, however. It was one of those, "don't call us, we'll call you" sort of deals. That eventing I got a call and immediately knew this was the same caller as earlier in the day. He was looking for "Peanut," someone's name I suppose, and I was fresh out. Like I usually do with wrong numbers, I asked what number they were looking for - but they were looking for mine! I tried to explain this was a personal cell phone, I didn't know Peanut and how it would literally be impossible to put he or she on the phone. My new friend was getting exhasperated and his buddy got on the line in a serious, and direct, tone, "Just put Peanut on the phone."

Well, it has been a couple of days since I've heard from them. So tonight, just after 23:00, while watching my family play a rousing card game of Hand and Foot, I got a call again. The conversation went as before, with a demand to put Peanut on the phone and utter shock that I would not, and actually could not, comply. I guess they still have not located Peanut and appearently haven't realized Peanut gave them a bogus number a few days ago. They're blocked non my phone now (an excellent feature, by the way), so my story of the missing Peanut will hopefully not have anymore chapters. Once blogged, it's a done deal ; ) Though should any of you see Peanut, let them know I have a few messages for them, expletives removed!
