Our kiddos keep talking! Which is a good thing most of the time : ) A few sayings you might hear around our house:
We have our Fisher Price Nativity Scene out in the family room and it's not uncommon to see Batman hanging out with the Angel, or a wise man sailing with Jake and Neverland Pirates. Hugh speaks really well, but constantly calls Mary's husband "Jo-fus." I'm sure he's heard, "Joseph, Mary and Jesus" quite a bit, but always says Jo-fus . . . with confidence!
Miah talks quite a lot now and verbalize almost anything she wants. You can tell, she projects her voice quite well! I don't think she's trying to yell, but it sure ain't quiet. Must skip a generation ; ) She does use incorrect pronouns in a cute way though, always saying "me" instead of "my." I always smile when she says things like, "You brush me hair?" or "Me get in me seat!"
Typically what comes with lots of talking is a little less listening. Very true for Miah, and we have to repeat things a few times before they sink in. Not that she can't comprehend what we're saying, it is really just to have her acknowledge our existence! Often Jess will say her name the first time, "Miah?" and then a pet name for the second time, "Sweetie Pie...?" Last week someone asked Miah her full name, "Is it Miah Anne?" to which she replied, "No, it's Miah Sweetie Pie" : )
Last one. I don't know where this one came from, but Miah will often ask, "What are you doing, Daddy?", even if we've been in the same room for a while. But she strings it all together, like, "whatyoudoin',daddy?" Adorable : ) Of course, I'll tell her the mundane thing I was up to, "standing in the kitchen" to which she replies, "Oooohhhh!"
